Overview
Some Thoughts of Mine is my first rap mixtape. It was originally planned to be released as one big project around April/May, but I seriously miscalculated, haha. So I came up with the idea of releasing each track as soon as it was finished. That way, I could gradually build momentum instead of relying on one big release.
Some of my very first steps into the rap world actually made it onto this project. For example, Mother’s Song was almost completely written during a train ride to visit my grandma in the summer of 2025.
One fun fact: I’m a bit of a tryhard. Some of my songs have more than 1,000 vocal takes, and even after listening back countless times, I still find new ways I could improve them. I guess that’s a sign that my ear is getting better?
Another fun fact: I wanted to create completely fresh beats for this project instead of using existing ones—whether made by me or someone else. The only exception is Chain of Thought, for which I used an older beat that I had previously uploaded as part of my A Sample of Summer Beattape beat tape.
The last fun fact?! The album cover happened completely by accident. During the shoot for the Grain of Time music video, I needed a place to put my figurines when they weren’t being used, so I placed them on a sheet of paper. And voilà—there was my album cover.

Production
This mixtape is built around samples as its foundation. I was heavily influenced by Yeezus by Ye, Hell of a Night by Travis Scott, and, of course, Ye’s soul sample beats. Other influences include Kid Cudi, Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, and Kendrick Lamar. Production for this mixtape is still ongoing, with the first beats having been made around the summer of 2025.
The production and all rap vocals were done entirely by me, TentaBond.
